New BEC Shop

Our new BEC online shop is open, with new designs, including a 90th year cartoon and a special hand-designed piece of caving gear art by Hollie. Why not order yourself a t-shirt or hoodie in time for the AGM dinner?

We also have the classic BEC logo available in more designs and colour schemes that we've been able to offer before.

The BEC makes a small commission on every sale. Introductory offer: prices are 25% off for the first two weeks! No code needed – redeem discount on checkout.

BCRA October Newsletter

The BCRA needs a new Secretary as the current one is stepping down. Nominations for both this role and other BCRA Council positions are being accepted, with a deadline at the end of September. The 2025 Hidden Earth caving conference will take place from September 26-28 in Llangollen, featuring more lectures than ever. The British Caving Library is at capacity and can only accept limited, pre-approved donations.

Additionally, the 36th Annual Cave Science Symposium and BCRA AGM are scheduled for October 11, 2025, at the University of Bristol, with both in-person and online options. There will also be a field trip and evening meal. Student travel grants are available. Other upcoming events include a BCRA online seminar and a Cave Radio and Electronics Group field meeting. The BCRA is also seeking volunteers for field meeting organization and website IT support.
