Last weekend – there for you

Mendip Cave Rescue successfully completed two simultaneous operations involving over 40 volunteers. They rescued a caver stuck in a tight passage and another with a leg injury. Both groups were well-prepared, ensuring effective evacuations through specialist equipment and community support.

Priddy Minories Fire

The Fire Bridage were out in force on Friday evening after the scrubland caught fire. A total of 60 firefighters, 10 fire engines and 4x4s battled the blaze.  Blue lights could be sign dashing between caving huts trying to find a way to reach the fire.

The fire, which is believed to have started accidentally, was mostly out by 10. It is unknown how many sausges were lost, but spare a thought for all the wildlife that lives here.

Swildons Hole Shut – 13 June

Correction – date was wrong inthe title before..

In June British Cave Rescue Council is holding its Annual Medical Conference on Mendip. Medical Training will be taking place in Swildon's Hole, therefore Swildon's Hole will be closed all day on Saturday 13th June.
