Once again the BEC brings you an event not to be missed.

Plans are now well advanced for the Belfry BBQ. A team a crack charcoal enthusiasts have hatched a plan to ensure maximum pleasure during the evening.

The meat grinder has been working overtime producing wares for the coals and several barrels of beer and cider have been arranged.

Additional power has been laid on, a high octane sound system borrowed and the tunes are lining up for a good rinsin.

We don’t need to stake our claim to being The Hut on Mendip. More fun than all those other club socials and better than a poke in the eye. Get yourself down there to party to excess!

Working Weekend and Lecture Night 4th - 6th April 2008

Work on our new tackle store and members bunkroom is progressing well and we expect to have these finished soon. To expediate this we will be holding a working weekend over 4th - 6th April and holding a slide show in the evening.

Full details will be published soon but please put this in your diaries.

June 2006
It was decided at this months committee meeting to increase the hut fees to £2.50 per night for members and £4 per night for guests.  This is an increase of 50 pence per night.  This difficult decision was taken in the reflection of the current economic climate with increasing fuel and amenity costs.  The price of oil, gas, electricity and water have increased.  Also a lot of work has been done on the hut over previous months with a completed new members bunk room and new shower.

This increase in cost comes into immediate affect.  Speaking to members around the hut this last weekend many were pleased as it meant that when they paid for 2 nights it came to a nice round number without having to find change.

Notices on this increase will be placed in the hut this week.

It is with regret that we hear of the passing of another of our Club's alumni.

Keith Gardner's funeral is on Tuesday 5th. Feb. at the Masonic Hall in Yatton at 1300hrs. The actual funeral is in the morning and is family only but a memorial will be held at the Masonic Hall followed by a drink or two.
