Annual Battle for the Ashes

OK...rain stopped play for the match so it has been rescheduled to Saturday 21st July after lunch.

The BEC vs Wessex Cricket match will take place after the lunchtime pub session on Saturday 30th June.

After the cows have been evicted, a pair specially prepared creases are planned to be crafted in Eastwater Field by kicking away the cow shit and giving it a mow (if we can be arsed).

Why not come along and slog a few balls into the nettles or simply relax, soak up the sun (if the is any) and sample the delights of a barrel of Butcombe.

A fun day out for all the family! Guaranteed! You knows it!

Battle for the Ashes

The Cavers vs Priddy Cricket match will take place after the lunchtime pub session on Sunday 26th July.

In a break from tradition of playing against the Wessex, the challenge this year is from the Priddy's 1st Eleven and will be mellowed out on the village green.

Why not come along and slog a few balls into the nettles or simply relax, soak up the sun (if the is any) and sample the delights of a barrel of Butcombe.

A fun day out for all the family! Guaranteed!

Cerberus Open Day and Party 17th June

Those nice people at the Cerberus have invited us all to an open day to see if we'd like to join there club (?). More to the point they are having a pissup in the evening which is more like it.

This is all to celebrate their 50th Anniversary. The evening will have a 50/60/70s Disco which maybe a statement about their membership. Take your iPod and a nice bottle of sherry.

The Cavers vs Priddy Cricket match will take place after the lunchtime pub session on Sunday 25th July.

Trevor Hughes writes:-
"Sunday 25th July 14:00 Priddy Green, wear whites if you have or can get them. Team captain on the day will be Dave Lennard. Meet in the Hunters' beforehand.

So make a note in your diaries for Sunday 25th July: play or support, your presence on the Green at Priddy will be welcomed. All we have got to hope is that last years excellent level of hospitality will be provided again and that the weather will be better this time (it couldn't be worse!)"

A fun day out for all the family! Guaranteed!
