Cheddar Caves Crag AttaK will take place at High Rock in the Gorge on Sunday 01 July, and climbers are invited to enrol for the following events:

  • The record-breaking largest-ever first ascent of a new climb
  • An open speed climb
  • An ‘unclimbable climb’ challenge
  • The weirdest and wackiest ascent ever (fancy dress and fancy behaviour!)
  • A fit volunteer is needed for a record-breaking continuous climb challenge (possibly 36 hours).
  • There will be demo climbs on some of the restored crags, and a ‘name that climb’ competition, while a new invitation-only endurance circuit will feature six challenging activities. All this will add up to a day of thrills, laughs, satisfaction and enjoyment for participants, supporters and spectators. Food and drink will be available throughout the day, and the event will gradually segue into a party for the climbing community to celebrate the end of the spring climbing season in Cheddar Gorge.

Crag AttaK will enable climbers to help local children with life-limiting illnesses. It is a condition of taking part in Crag AttaK that all participants arrange sponsorship or make a direct contribution to Children’s Hospice South West.
